Z Place

Ocean West closed on the acquisition of Z Place in August 2019, as part of a portfolio that included its sister property, Z West. Z Place is a 10-story, 248-bed luxury student housing community constructed in 2009. The property is located less than a one-minute walk to the Diag, the heart of the University of Michigan campus, and offers a variety of floorplans that cater to both undergraduate and graduate students. The project remains one of the most popular housing options for students and has been fully leased since construction. Project amenities include lobby and ground floor retail, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and underground heated parking. Ocean West is currently in the midst of a multi-year renovation plan to further enhance the student experience with capital improvements to the living units, common areas, and amenities.
